Twin hooks offer high holding power, strong penetration and freedom of movement.

studio COMPOSITE's TWIN DM hooks are designed for catch and release, to leave fish for the future.

And the Oval Wire split ring brings out the full benefits of twin hooks.

TWIN DM (Twin Direct Message) is a twin hook designed for big baits aimed mainly at big fish.

Given the size of big baits, the TWIN DM is designed to hook securely around the mouth, which is covered in the hard scales of big fish.

The wire is kept as thin as possible to increase penetration.

Big baits with wide bodies are hard to hook up with, so the TWIN DM has a longer shank and a wider gap than a conventional treble, and the two points sit at 100° for an effective hook-point position.

Oval Wire Split Ring: the split ring, evolved.

Every detail is designed to be ideal and functional.

Features:

The main difference from a regular split ring is the oval shape.

This shape spreads the force that pulls the wire open to the sides, preventing breakage.

Built for twin hooks:

We started developing the Oval Wire at the same time as we started testing twin hooks.

In other words, it's a split ring made specifically for twin hooks.

Used together, they get the most out of twin hooks.

Ring height:

It's as wide as a regular round split ring, but about 20% taller.

This moves the hook slightly away from the lure, which stabilizes its swimming posture.

It also keeps the hook point away from the body, reducing missed bites and improving hook-ups.

Strength test: round ring vs. Oval Wire:

The round split ring in the video is one of the strongest on the market.

Both rings use 1.2mm wire.

See for yourself how strong the Oval Wire is.

Twin hooks are two independent single hooks joined by a silicone tube, so they have a wide range of motion once a fish is hooked.

Because the hook follows the fish's movements, the hook hole is less likely to widen, and the hook is less likely to come out even when the fish shakes its head hard.

Thanks to this freedom of movement, the hook isn't locked in place under heavy load, so it's less likely to bend.

As a result, fish are very hard to lose, even with barbless hooks.
